earth has captivated hunters’ hearts as has Africa, for no other
continent can boast the richness or diversity of game, or the uniqueness
in hunting experience. The "dark" continent, with its myriad of
ecosystems and biotopes has been the "Mecca" for big game
hunters for more than 200 years.
But the best years are
passing now for this hunting paradise. Exploding human populations across
Africa are consuming more and more land for agriculture and settlement.
Dangerous game has been pushed into ever shrinking reserves or simply shot
off to make way for the ever growing numbers of people and livestock.
Areas that just 10 years ago saw herds of buffalo in their thousands are
now devoid of game and the trend continues. These are the last of the
"good old days"!
